Privacy Policy

Any booking request implies acceptance of these terms of sale and their provisions, fully and without reservation.

Prices:

  • The price mentioned in the reservation will have additional services provided by Utopy Hostel during the stay added to it upon invoicing.
  • Prices are listed in Euros. VAT and tourist tax are always included. The prices shown only cover the services explicitly mentioned in the reservation.

Booking Conditions:

Bookings can be made:

via online booking platforms (Booking, Airbnb)

  • The full amount will be required to guarantee the reservation, payable only by credit card.
  • The guest must be the cardholder of the credit card used for the reservation.

Cancellation or Modification Conditions:

  • The free cancellation period is: 5 days before the arrival date. Outside this period, the total amount of the stay will be retained by the hostel.
  • In case of no-show and in the absence of cancellation, the total amount of the reservation will be charged. Staff will also be free to rent the bed to other guests.
  • In case of an abbreviated stay, the entire stay will be due (except in cases of force majeure).
  • Delays in arrival or early departures cannot under any circumstances lead to a refund. Transportation issues (flights, trains, Uber, etc.) remain the responsibility of the guest and do not constitute sufficient grounds for a reservation refund.

  • The cancellation of the reservation is effective upon receipt of a confirmation email. The date of receipt of the cancellation request (by email or phone) will be the date used for the cancellation.

Cancellation or Modification Conditions for Private Bookings:

The free cancellation period is 15 days before the arrival date. Outside these periods, the total amount of the stay will be retained by the hostel.

  • Staff will ensure that the property is made available in a condition corresponding to its description.
  • The guest has the right to occupy the house peacefully and orderly. Upon departure, the guest agrees to leave the property in the same clean condition as it was found upon arrival. All fixtures, fittings, and furniture from the inventory must be left in the same place where the guest found them upon arrival. Any repairs to the facilities resulting from negligence on the part of the guest will be at their expense.
  • Under no circumstances may the guest sublet the property, even for free. This would render the rental agreement null and void.
  • The guest may not under any circumstances remain on the property or camp around the property after the expiration of the rental period, without the authorization of the staff. No modifications can be made to this contract without the agreement of both parties.
  • Arrival is self-service via email; the guest can proceed to the room, and their welcome is assured.
  • Check-out time is no later than 11:00 AM on the day of departure.
  • The number of guests cannot exceed the number indicated on the reservation form.
  • Any extras must be paid at the reception before using the service.
  • Utopy Hostel is not suitable for families with children and is not accessible to minors.
  • Staff reserves the right to cancel the rental agreement at any time in case of disrespectful behavior against hostel rules, staff, or other guests.
  • For your safety, the hostels are under video surveillance.
  • The presence of animals in the house is not permitted. Any guest who does not comply with this rule will have their rental agreement canceled.

Insurance

Unless otherwise specified, Utopy Hostel assumes no responsibility for the theft, loss, or damage of guests’ personal belongings.

Force Majeure

Utopy Hostel cannot be held responsible to its guests for non-fulfillment of its obligations due to a force majeure event. Cases of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances are those usually recognized by French Courts and Tribunals.

Data Protection and Liberties

  • In accordance with Law L.78-17 of January 6, 1978, the client is informed that personal data communicated to Utopy Hostel is subject to computerized processing, unless expressly opposed by them.
  • The client has the right at any time to access, rectify, or delete their data with Utopy Hostel.
  • The information requested during booking is essential for the proper processing of your request. This information is intended solely for Utopy Hostel. Utopy Hostel undertakes not to communicate any information you have entrusted to it to any third party.
  • To respect your peace of mind and your communication choices, we inform you of the existence of the Bloctel service. This free service allows you to object to telephone solicitation. For more information and to register, please visit the official website http://www.bloctel.gouv.fr
  • Following your reservation, you do not benefit from the 14-day right of withdrawal. Your reservation is therefore firm and final. If you wish to cancel it, please check your reservation conditions.

Applicable Law

In the event of a dispute and after contacting the professional’s customer service, any client has the option to refer the matter to a consumer mediator, within a maximum period of one year from the date of the written complaint, sent by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt, to this professional.
